David Lasdon

David Lasdon made his film debut with “Mind Games,” which he wrote and produced. His play “Mayflower” was part of the Blank Theatre Company Living Room Series. His short film “I’ll Text You” was David’s first time in the director’s chair.

In 2008 while serving as a delegate to the RNC Lasdon assembled a documentary film crew and began interview everyday citizens working on grass roots initiatives about how the Republican Party had become so unpopular. Unbeknownst to him at the time, he was capturing the birth of the angry voter. For the next five years Lasdon continued filming local groups and campaigns as well as D.C. politicians.

The result is From the Ground Up, chronicling the origins and rise of the Tea Party with narration by Kelsey Grammar(screening 7/13 at the Anthem Film Festival).
